adi Intelligent Buildings Takes Centre Stage at Connect26

adi Intelligent Buildings is celebrating a standout achievement after winning the Special Project of the Year Award at Distech Controls Connect26, a prestigious European event held every two years. The recognition highlights the team’s exceptional work with Birmingham Children’s Hospital, showcasing innovation, technical expertise and a truly collaborative approach.

The award celebrates the first UK installation of a new, first‑of‑its‑kind occupancy‑based control technology, designed and installed by adi Intelligent Buildings in an emergency operating theatre at the hospital. Using Distech Controls’ Resense Move technology, the team delivered a pioneering solution that uses real‑time thermal sensing and occupancy insight to inform smarter, more efficient theatre control.

This award reflects the hard work, creativity and commitment of everyone involved - a brilliant achievement for the team and a proud moment for adi Intelligent Buildings.
