adi Vehicle Charging Solutions, a division of multidisciplinary engineering firm adi Group, has appointed Ryan Nicholson as project manager following a period of exceptional growth across the business.
Nicholson will lead the delivery of key projects as adi VCS supports the UK’s transition to electric vehicles (EVs), partnering with organisations nationwide to expand and upgrade their EV charging infrastructure.
Nicholson said: “adi VCS is at the forefront of building the essential infrastructure for the UK’s electric vehicle future, enabling businesses to electrify their fleets and making EV adoption accessible across industries. I’m especially excited to join a business of adi’s calibre, where so many areas of engineering intersect and feed into each other seamlessly through a unique turnkey model.”
With over seven years’ experience in the EV sector, Nicholson will manage innovative projects from initial concept through to installation and maintenance, supporting the delivery of high-quality solutions for clients.
He added: “Early EV adoption was driven by environmental pioneers, but in recent years we’ve reached a tipping point. Fleet electrification is now a commercial and environmental imperative for all organisations. The pace of change is remarkable, and I’m eager to help our clients futureproof their operations.”
Nicholson also brings expertise spanning air source, ground source, and biomass technologies. Having started his career as an electrician before progressing into project management, he offers a practical understanding of engineering and energy transition challenges across sectors.
Robert Byrne, operations director at adi Vehicle Charging Solutions, commented: “Ryan adds significant strength to our project delivery team, bringing both specialist insight and a passion for the industry. His leadership will be instrumental as we continue to support businesses nationwide in meeting EV infrastructure needs.”
