adi Group clinches significant honour in national apprenticeships awards
Birmingham engineering firm adi Group has been awarded ‘Silver – “Aspiring for Excellence”’ in the Engineering Apprenticeships: Excellent Employer Accreditation for the second year in a row.
This has once again placed the business among a select group of UK engineering and manufacturing companies to secure silver this year.
The recognition is delivered by Next Gen Makers in partnership with Make UK, and celebrates employers whose apprenticeship programmes demonstrate national best practice in everything from recruiting and training to developing engineering talent
In 2025, adi Group had a company record high number of apprentice intake, alongside a number of young people who completed their pre-apprentice programmes and carried on their learning with the firm.
A core component of the assessment is an independent survey of the apprentices, capturing first-hand feedback about their experience. Combined with a review of adi Group’s approach to recruitment, training and ongoing development, this feedback determined the company’s accreditation level.
“This silver accreditation is a testament to the strength of our apprenticeship model and, most importantly, to the voices of our apprentices,” said Ellie Brady, Head of HR at adi Group.
“Their feedback shows that they feel supported and set up to succeed. We’re incredibly proud to be recognised as ‘Aspiring for Excellence’ and we’ll keep raising the bar to develop, retain and inspire the next generation of engineers.”
Achieving silver confirms adi Group provides a strong and supportive apprenticeship experience and underscores the company’s long-term commitment to developing and retaining young engineers.
This follows the multidisciplinary firm’s recent nine-year anniversary of its pioneering pre-apprenticeship scheme, which has successfully helped a number of young people embark on a rewarding engineering career.
