Engineering firm awarded Platinum membership of The 5% Club

Engineering firm adi Group has been awarded Platinum accredited membership of The 5% Club’s 2025–26 Employer Audit Scheme.

This recognises the company’s sustained investment in high-quality “earn and learn” opportunities across apprenticeships and graduate programmes, as well as sponsored student placements. The independently assessed accreditation places adi Group among a select cohort of UK employers demonstrating leading practice in early-career development and inclusive workforce growth.

Platinum status acknowledges both current impact and future commitments to structured learning pathways that build skills pipelines and support social mobility.

As part of a national movement of more than 1,200 employers, the 5% Club’s audited tiers spotlight organisations whose programmes deliver measurable outcomes for people and business performance alongside the wider economy.

Ellie Brady, Head of Human Resources at adi Group, said: “This Platinum accreditation reflects the scale and consistency of our investment in early-career talent. It’s great to see that the quality of our programmes have been recognised as well as the outcomes they deliver for colleagues and clients.

“This year, we welcomed our biggest group of apprentices yet, with 17 new starters joining us in 2025. Over the past 10 years, we have employed more than 100 apprentices on a full-time basis, and today 62 of our team members, making up 11% of our workforce, are full-time apprentices.

“We see skills development as core business infrastructure, not a discretionary extra. Our focus now is to build on this standard and extend opportunity even further.”

Mark Cameron OBE, Chief Executive at the 5% Club, said: “We are incredibly proud of the outstanding employers, like adi Group, who continue to raise the bar for workplace learning. Their dedication to creating rich and varied ‘earn and learn’ opportunities sets a remarkable example.

“By achieving Platinum membership, adi Group has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to investing in people, which will shape the skills of tomorrow and driving lasting impact for both business and society.”

Gill Cronin, Director of Operations at the 5% Club, added: “It is truly inspiring to see the enthusiasm and leadership our members bring to developing talent. adi Group’s Platinum membership is a clear example of how purposeful investment in people can deliver opportunity, inclusion, and excellence.

“As 20% of our members now reach these prestigious tiers, organisations like adi Group continue to pave the way for the future workforce.”

Founded in 2013, the 5% Club works with UK employers and key influencers to inspire positive action for increased and accessible workplace learning, with a focus on apprentices and graduates. Its mission is to boost youth employment, enhance career prospects, and help the UK build a future-ready, skilled workforce.
