A great day with our Apprentice Academy at their Apprentice Academy Training Day in March 2020.
This event was about getting each individual apprentice to look at their own personal learning styles using the 'Honey and Mumford Learning Styles' and looking at the way they work within a team using the 'Belbin Method' The majority of our apprentices fell into the 'teamworkers' and 'complete finishers', which is great with the work they undertake.
The apprentices were given various activities to complete throughout the day starting with an individual icebreaker where each had to create a personal "Coat of Arms" and a practical team challenge which included creating tin foil cubes, paper airplanes, fortune tellers and flags to specific measurements using only limited supplies and borrowing and stealing from other groups.
To conclude the day, Mari Docker, Group HR Manager has issued a project that each team will present at the adi Apprentice Summer Camp with each project contributing to our Responsible Business Strategy.
