The Opportunity
Over the last 20 years, Kloeckner Metals and Systems adi Group have built up a long-lasting business relationship.
This was developed further in 2020 when Kloeckner Metals and adi discussed plans for expansion at their Black Country base to increase their business capabilities. From initial conception, we were able to work with Kloeckner on early-stage pricing all the way through to a full tender process and then being awarded the contract in early 2021.
The project is now well underway and will be completed in Q4 2021 meaning our client will be able to undertake the new building as per their required timescales.
The Solution
We were appointed by Kloeckner Metals to deliver an extension to their existing warehouse situated in Dudley, West Midlands.
These works will include extensive ground remediation works including:
- Mineshaft capping works
- Retaining wall structure
- HV/LV Diversions
- Live drainage diversions
- 2 attenuations tanks
- Vibro ground stabilization
Once completed a large steel frame extension to an existing live factory will be built. Whilst our works are taking place we will also help the client install their heavy-duty rail crane which we have integrated into our programme. Further to the extension, we will also be laying a new traffic scheme and parking for the site (internal).
