BITC Appoints adi Group CEO To West Midlands Leadership Board
Alan Lusty, CEO of adi Group, has been appointed to Business in the Community’s (BITC) West Midlands Leadership Board, joining representatives from major businesses including KPMG, Mondelez and Jaguar Land Rover.
BITC is the Prince’s Responsible Business Network, and works with companies of all sizes across the UK to integrate responsible business practices into their operations.
The Board provides strategic guidance to BITC in the West Midlands area, and helps to identify the unique ways in which business can help innovate and create more sustainable livelihoods and prosperous communities in the region.
The appointment coincides with adi Group’s tenth year supporting BITC’s Ready for Work initiative, which helps people overcome disadvantage by increasing access to good, sustainable employment. Supporting an average of eight candidates a year for the past decade, the Group has forged strong ties with BITC, and has seen several success stories grow from the scheme.
Commenting on his appointment to the board, Mr Lusty said: “Since establishing the business 25 years ago, I’ve made a conscious effort to ensure that social responsibility is at the heart of what we do.
“Alongside other charitable initiatives, we’ve been working with the BITC for ten years, and truly believe that giving back to the community makes us stronger as a business.
“I am delighted to join the West Midlands Leadership Board, and look forward to the opportunity to make a difference to responsible business practices in the region.”
Raksha Pattni, Area Director, England West at BITC, added: “Alan will be a great addition to the leadership team in the region and will be able to bring a CEO’s perspective to what it means to be a responsible business.
adi Group has supported BITC for many years, and has demonstrated a serious commitment to promoting positive social change both within and outside of the organisation.”BACK TO ARTICLES
