adi Mechanical Supports Cynthia Spencer Hospice At Funfest 2017
Two teams from adi Mechanical took part in Rushden Higham Rotary Club’s Fun to raise vital funds for local charities in Northampton including Cynthia Spencer Hospice and charities supported by the Rotary Club of Rushden Chichele and Rushden Round Table.
Now in its sixth year, the main attraction is the It’s A Knockout competition with 18 teams battling it out and racing over inflatable obstacles, dressing up in silly costumes and getting wet in a bid to win the Funfest trophy.
Once again, adi Mechanical entered two teams in the “It’s A knockout” challenge with “Lusty’s Ladies” competing well in a challenging group.
The adi men’s team performed heroically throughout the event finishing top of an eighteen team field with a record points haul (Thanks in no small part to Charles Bakers enthusiastic dance routines during the warm up earning bonus points for the team). Although starting the head to head finals as clear favourites unfortunately the team from adi ran out of steam in the Grand Final and came in third overall.
The event raised in excess of £15,000 on the day and adi Mechanical is already looking forward to the 2018 edition of the event.
